Your jungle hideout awaits…

Stay at Siddhi Bhava and experience the raw beauty and quiet magic of the Mayan jungle.

We invite you on an unforgettable adventure in the jungle of Tulum, on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula! Staying here means immersing yourself in the heart of the jungle, in a one-of-a-kind space crafted from bamboo and natural materials that harmonize with the land. Wake up to the melodic chorus of birds, watch monkeys swing through the trees, and end your day by the warmth of a crackling fire beneath a canopy of stars. While it feels like a secluded sanctuary, you're just a short 5–10 minute drive from several crystal-clear cenotes, 10 minutes from the Tren Maya station, 30 minutes from the soft sands and turquoise waters of the Caribbean coast, and within easy reach of both Tulum International Airport (1 hour) and Cancun Airport (2 hours).

Siddhi Bhava is the name of our first guest accommodation at Gyan Khand. There’s a sense of mystery as you approach it—just beyond Saha, our communal kitchen. The sandy shell of Siddhi peeks through the jungle, its flowing, draped lines stirring curiosity about what lies within this bio-architectural creature.

Step through its portal door and you’ll enter the heart of a living, organic structure. Two ancient trees, too wide to wrap your arms around, grow up through the roof. Their roots weave through the curved floor, where the coral reef bedrock, millions of years old, emerges at the surface. Air flows freely from all directions, carrying sounds and scents. Light and shadow play constantly, shifting with the canopy above.

A cozy cocoon hangs from the ceiling—climb in and drift to sleep suspended in stillness. Across the room, a floating couch hovers gently above the jungle floor, inviting rest. Walk beneath the archway formed by the two trees and the ceiling rises again, unfolding into a bathroom complete with a composting toilet, bidet, sink, and a hot-water shower that flows from the tree itself.

At night, soft lighting sets a soothing tone. Look up through the skylight to find the moon and stars—always present, always changing.

No description can fully capture the experience of staying in Siddhi Bhava. It’s something you feel.

All guests at Siddhi also have access to Saha, our shared kitchen and dining area, just a few steps away.

Our Iconic Saha Space

Read Before You Book

Siddhi Bhava is a truly unique space, but it may not be for everyone. Before booking, please consider your comfort level and personal circumstances regarding the following:

  • This is the jungle - teeming with life in all its forms. While we've taken thoughtful steps to create a respectful boundary between you and the creatures who live here, it's not uncommon to encounter some of them inside your space. This could include scorpions, spiders, snakes, and other curious critters.

The sleeping cocoon includes an additional layer of mesh protection, which allows most guests to sleep peacefully. We also provide simple tools and instructions for safely removing any wildlife that may find its way indoors.

If this feels overwhelming or unsettling to you, staying in the jungle might not be the right fit - and that’s completely okay. Your peace of mind matters.

  • Here at Gyan Khand, we’re living in harmony with the land - which means no septic system. With the ancient coral bedrock just below the surface, we use a waterless dry toilet system designed to be simple, sanitary, and surprisingly easy to get used to.

Here’s how it works: liquid and solid waste are separated at the source. Urine flows into one pipe and filters into the landscape, while solid waste (yes, poop!) goes into a bucket layered with woodchips. When you’re done, just sprinkle some sawdust on top—nature takes it from there. We empty the bucket daily and compost it off-site, so your space stays fresh and clean.

Most guests adapt quickly, even if they’ve never used a compost toilet before. But if this setup doesn’t feel like a good fit for you, we totally understand - it might be best to explore different accommodations.

  • Staying in Siddhi requires a baseline of physical mobility, balance, and mindfulness. The floors are intentionally uneven and gently sloped, with natural elements like tree roots and rocks embedded into the design. Accessing the bed involves stepping up and entering through the cocoon opening onto a suspended tension-net bed.

Guests who may find this challenging are encouraged to consider one of our other accommodations, when available. That said, elderly guests with mild physical limitations have stayed comfortably in Siddhi without issue.

We invite you to review the photos carefully and reach out to us with any questions or concerns about your specific needs. We're happy to discuss the space in more detail and explore any reasonable accommodations we can make for you.

  • As a sanctuary for healing, we maintain a space free of alcohol, tobacco, and other substances with no exceptions. We invite you to connect with the pure, restorative power of nature and the elements.

  • Guests are welcome to join our weekly Kundalini yoga classes (US$25 per person), or request a private session (US$75 per class for up to 3 people, plus US$25 for each additional person).

Organic, seasonal, locally sourced vegetarian meals are also available for purchase, depending on availability.
