Seeds of the New Earth
Seeds of the New Earth
Humanity. Elevated ~ Seeds of the New Earth
February 28th, Saturday | 1-6pm | Ik Balam km15.8 Coba rd. Tulum
We warmly invite you to our next Humanity. Elevated gathering under the umbrella of Gyan Khand — a heart-centered space devoted to authentic connection, shared presence, and the blossoming of collective consciousness.
Our theme, “Seeds of the New Earth,” invites us to consciously plant intentions for the world we are co-creating, rooted in awareness, compassion, and embodied wisdom.
We will be blessed to receive the teachings of our beloved Gurmukh and Gurushabd, coming not only from their spiritual practice of 50+ years, but also from a life rich in experiences of being on Earth for 150+ years combined!
Due to limited space and we ask you to please get your tickets in advance.
For the logistics, please join our Humanity. Elevated WhatsApp group
Flow of the Gathering;
Opening Practice — Qi Gong
We will begin the evening with a grounding Qi Gong practice led by Damian Lara, gently guiding us into our bodies, breath, and inner stillness. Through mindful movement and awareness, we prepare the foundation, centering ourselves before we enter into deeper teachings and shared space.
Opening word from Rev Yana and Rob Kippel
Being the interfaith inter-spiritual ministers and moving to Tulum 3 years ago with intention of service and belonging to the community, Yana and Rob have their own ways of facilitating the birth of the New Earth within and serving the unity consciousness.
Wisdom from the Community Elders Gurmukh & Gurushabd
Following our practice, we will receive teachings and reflections from Gurmukh and Gurushabd — beloved Kundalini Yoga masters and elders of the community. Drawing from decades of devotion, practice, and lived experience, they will share insights to nourish the seeds we are planting within and among us.
Community Sharing Circle
We will gather in circles to reflect, speak from the heart, listen deeply, and witness the wisdom emerging from our collective experience.
Musical Offering
The evening will be woven together with sacred music by Pedro Vadhar, joined by visiting musicians Simon and Denise, carrying us into a shared field of vibration, devotion, and celebration. Please feel free to bring your instruments.
Our gatherings are volunteer-led, non-profit offering to the community
Humanity. Elevated is a volunteer-led, non-profit gathering created in the spirit of seva (selfless service) and community care.
All proceeds from this evening will be donated toward:
Repairing the roof of the space where we gather — strengthening the physical home that shelters our shared practice and prayer.
Purchasing materials to build a bamboo greenhouse inside the Ik Balam community during a hands-on workshop on March 1, 2026. This workshop will be free and open to the first 20 people who sign up, supporting regenerative food growth and community resilience. RSVP info@gyankhand.life
Supporting a woman in Ukraine who has been bedridden in the hospital for five months, has undergone 10 serious surgeries, and urgently needs another round of medical treatment.
By joining us, you are not only planting symbolic seeds of the New Earth, you are directly contributing to tangible acts of care, restoration, and healing.
We look forward to planting these seeds together. 🌍✨
“A person is a person through other persons.
None of us comes into the world fully formed. We would not know how to think, or walk, or speak, or behave as human beings unless we learned it from other human beings. We need other human beings in order to be human. I am because other people are. A person is entitled to a stable community life, and the first of these communities is the family.”
Desmond Tutu
Recently, in conversation, a friend of mine who is currently in Bali, shared an observation about the local community there: people often gather not necessarily to build relationships, but to consume an experience - an event, a speaker, or knowledge. Even when contact details are exchanged, deeper connections rarely follow.
Her reflection struck a familiar chord. I recognized this pattern in our own local community. I share this not to place blame, shame, or guilt, but to acknowledge a shared challenge - one that exists across the globe. As Instagram-famous psychotherapist Esther Perel poignantly said of modern loneliness:
“You can have a thousand virtual friends and then no one to feed your cat.”
So, what can we do to shift this paradigm?
How can we deepen our relationships and make them enduring?
How can we cultivate a sense of belonging in a community where we feel truly cared for, where we can show up as our authentic selves?
As with any meaningful relationship, building community takes time and effort. As founders, we are here for the long game. Our collective experience with committed projects, studies, and initiatives has taught us: all great things take time and effort to mature.

Interfaith Prayer and Community Gathering
First gathering of the community in the jungle was with participation of more than 50 people, coming with intention to be in prayer, unity and love.
Dear community elder and master kundalini yoga teacher Gurushabd shared his wisdom and led us in meditation. Reverends Yana and Rob Kippel shared the concept of interfaith, delivering guidance and prayers from selected traditions. Community participated in group exercises and shares, concluding the day with beautiful musical performance by Toygun Sözen, Kata, Claire and Poly.
All photos capturing the mood and magic of the gathering were taken by Ed Rebollo
