The Experiment

The 10 Territories of The Experiment 🌿

Over the next 10 weeks we will move through 10 areas of life - one at a time, with full attention and intention.

Think of each as a territory we enter together. We are here to explore, to see it clearly, feel it fully, and experiment with what shifts when we bring conscious awareness to it.

Week 1 — Body
Week 2 — Mind
Week 3 — Spirit
Week 4 — Time
Week 5 — Stillness
Week 6 — Creativity
Week 7 — Relationship
Week 8 — Nature
Week 9 — Vision
Week 10 — Integration

Each week builds on the last. By week 10 you will have touched every layer of your life - intentionally, experimentally, with awareness you didn't have before.

Week 9 Menu — Vision 🔭

Welcome to your ninth open buffet.

This week our territory is Vision - and we arrive here after eight weeks of preparation that were not accidental.

You cannot build genuine vision on an uninhabited life. You cannot see clearly forward if you have not cleared some of the noise that has been running your choices from behind the scenes. You cannot distinguish between a vision that is truly yours and one that was handed to you by someone else's fear, someone else's expectations, or the version of success that was already in the air when you were born - unless you have spent some time in stillness, in your body, in honest relationship with your actual experience.

That is what the last eight weeks have been for.

Vision is not a goal list. It is not a five-year plan. It is not an Instagram aesthetic or a manifestation board, though it may eventually include those things. Vision is the felt sense of a life that is genuinely, specifically yours - not anyone else's, not the composite of what you admire in others, not the life you think you should want. The life that, when you imagine it clearly and honestly, produces a feeling in your body that you recognize as true.

That feeling is your compass. This week we calibrate it.

Below is your menu. Choose one from each category, something that genuinely calls to you, let your instinct lead.

Trust your first instinct.

➕ ADD: choose one vision practice to bring in this week

  • A daily 10-minute "future self" meditation - sit quietly, close your eyes, and spend 10 minutes in the felt presence of the version of you who is living in full alignment with your deepest values and truest nature. Not a fantasy of achievement. A felt sense of being. Who are you in that version of your life? How do you move through the day? What has been released? What has been chosen? Let the image be as specific and as sensory as possible.

Write your own eulogy - not morbidly but honestly. Imagine the person who knows you best standing up to speak at the end of your life. What would you most want them to be able to say? What would you most regret if they couldn't say it? This is one of the oldest and most reliable tools for vision clarity that exists. It bypasses the ego's preferences and accesses something closer to what you actually value. I have done this exercise when I was part of a 12-week coaching program myself and it was really profound. It is important to create the right type of setting, music and space so it feels authentic.

A vision board made from feeling rather than aspiration - not images of what you want to have or achieve, but images that capture how you want to feel inside your daily life. Textures, colors, words, landscapes, faces, objects. Let the board be a felt portrait rather than a wish list. If you don’t use magazines etc you can create a board on Pinterest.

A daily clarity question - choose one question and sit with it for five minutes each morning this week, writing whatever comes without editing. Possible questions: what does my soul most want for this life? What would I choose if I knew I could not fail and would not be judged? What am I pretending not to know about the direction my life wants to go? One question, seven days. Let the answers deepen across the week rather than arriving complete on day one.

A conversation about vision with someone you trust - not to get advice, not to be talked into or out of anything, but to speak your vision out loud to another person for perhaps the first time. There is something that vision cannot fully become until it has been spoken. Something that crystallizes when the words leave your body and enter the air between you and another person. Choose someone who will listen without redirecting, and speak.

Your own choice - any practice that brings you into clearer, more honest contact with what you are actually here to do and be.

➖ REMOVE: choose one thing to release this week

Someone else's vision for your life - the inherited blueprint of what a good life looks like, sourced from your family of origin, your culture, your generation, or the version of success that was handed to you before you were old enough to question it. This week, spend time identifying at least one element of your current life or future plans that belongs to that blueprint rather than to you. You do not need to dismantle it this week. You only need to see it clearly.

The vision you have already outgrown - the goal, the dream, the image of the future that once felt true but no longer fits the person you have become through these nine weeks. Carrying an outgrown vision costs energy. It occupies space that a more current truth could inhabit. This week, give yourself permission to let at least one old vision go which you have grown past it.

Comparison as a visioning tool - the habit of constructing your sense of what you want by looking at what others have. This week, when you notice yourself wanting what you see in someone else's life, pause before adopting it and ask: do I actually want this, or do I want the feeling I imagine this would give me? And if it is the feeling - what else might give me that feeling that is already available in my own life?

The belief that vision requires certainty before action - the idea that you must see the whole path clearly before you take a step. Vision is not a detailed map. It is a direction and a quality of aliveness in the body when you move toward it. This week, practice trusting that direction without needing the whole route to be visible.

Smallness as humility - the pattern of making your vision deliberately modest, of shrinking what you can see for yourself before anyone else has the chance to shrink it for you, of calling that shrinking spiritual or practical when it is actually fear. True humility is not small vision. It is large vision held without ego. This week, let your vision be as large as it actually is.

Your own choice - any belief that stands between you and honest contact with what you are most deeply here to do.

🌀 DEEPEN: choose one to commit to for the full week

  • Write a letter from your future self to your present self - from the version of you who has lived the life your vision points toward, back to the you who is standing here now at the beginning of it. Let that future self be specific, warm, and honest. What does she want you to know? What does she want you to stop being afraid of? What does she wish you had started sooner? What is she most grateful that you chose? Write without censoring. Read it every morning of this week.

Design your ideal ordinary day - not your ideal extraordinary day, not your best vacation or peak experience. Your ideal ordinary Tuesday, five years from now. Where do you wake up? What does the light look like? Who, if anyone, is near you? How does your body feel when you rise? What is the first thing you do? What does your work look and feel like? What do you eat, how do you move, who do you speak to, what do you contribute, how do you rest? The ordinary day reveals the vision more honestly than the highlight reel. Write it in present tense, as if it is already happening.

A vision clarity practice from your own tradition - a personal session with your Jyotish chart and the current dasha and transit layer, a Human Design body graph meditation focusing on your Incarnation Cross, a Gene Keys contemplation of your Life's Work and Evolution gates, a prayer or ceremony asking for clarity on your next chapter. Whatever system you trust most deeply - use it this week specifically for vision clarification rather than for general awareness.

Spend one hour with the question of your dharma - not researching it, not reading about it. Sitting with it. What is the specific contribution that only you can make, given the precise combination of where you have been, what you have suffered, what you have learned, and who you are? What is the thing that would be missing from the world if you did not do it? Write for one uninterrupted hour without stopping to evaluate what is appearing on the page.

Map the through-line of your life so far - a timeline, drawn or written, that identifies not the events of your life but the themes. What has been trying to emerge in you across every chapter? What capacity have you been developing without knowing it? What kind of person does the whole arc of your life seem to be creating? Often the most honest vision for the future is simply the next natural expression of what has already been happening for decades.

Your own choice. And the question for this whole week: if fear were completely removed from the equation, what would you choose?

A few notes before you choose 🌿

We are one week from the end of The Experiment. What you bring into focus this week will become the material for our final week of Integration. So take this week seriously - not urgently, but seriously. Give your vision real time and real attention. Let it be as honest and as large as it actually is.

Read the menu, read the moon cycle guide and listen to yourself. There is no right answer and no comparison. What one person removes another may need to add.

Once you have chosen please write your three choices in your notebook with today's date. If you can, make it your phone screen saver (using Canva if you fancy fancy :) or by just typing it in notes and adding to the screen saver) so you have a constant reminder. Then share them here in the group so we can hold each other's intentions.

I will share individual guidance from your natal charts after you place your choices, in the private messages. General recommendations aligned with the lunar cycle are on the separate page.
